Close to $140,000 Raised for Charity at Building Block Foundation Fund White Party and Fashion Show

Orange County, CA – At its annual White Party Fashion Show and Fundraiser held on September 12, Building Block FoundationFund raised almost $140,000 for charities it supports that make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth in Orange County. Building Block Foundation Fund was founded to combine financial and human resources from the real estate community to support programs to help children in Orange County.

Close to 400 people attended this year’s event that included a high-energy runway fashion show featuring commercial real estate professionals modeling fashions by designers Grayse, Rebecca Taylor, Rodd & Gunn and Gary’s Mens Clothing. Youth from the Boys Hope Girls Hope and Taller San Jose modeled looks from Billabong.

Some of the well-known industry firms participating in the fashion show included: Bascom Group (and event title sponsor), Irvine Company, Stream Realty, Cox, Castle Nicholson, Shopoff, Invesco, Nuveen, Chase, Stirling Development, and Rutan, among others. The iconic celebration was held outdoors at the Noguchi Garden in Costa Mesa.

To date, Building Block Foundation Fund has raised approximately $3 million in support of charities that include: Project Access, Taller San Jose/Hope Builders, Kids Connected, Joyful Child Foundation, Career Beginnings, Boys Hope Girls Hope, Orangewood Children’s Foundation and KidWorks.

“We are thankful to all of the firms and individuals that came out to support the event and in turn provide much needed funds to a number of important organizations in our county. I love that we are able to do something meaningful and the commercial real estate community is willing to step up to make it happen,” said Sal Provenza, chairman, Building Block Foundation Fund and partner, WD Land.
